The Office of Professional Standard’s (OPS) purpose is to ensure that the honor and integrity of the Irmo Police Department is maintained.
The OPS is responsible for the internal affairs function of the department and to investigate all complaints or allegations of misconduct against the members of the Irmo Police Department.

Complaints against an officer will be directed to the Professional Standards Officer and investigated. It is the policy of this department to ensure that integrity is maintained through a process whereby objectivity, fairness and justice are assured. The department will document and investigate all complaints made against its employees.
