POSITION OPENING FOR A PROJECT COORDINATOR      

The Town of Irmo, South Carolina is seeking a self-starter with impeccable integrity, outstanding writing skills and a track record of being an entrepreneurial, business savvy, marketing visionary, grant finder, and the ability to think outside the box to be their next Project Coordinator. With the ability to locate, submit and manage applications for federal, and state grants as well as other more obscure free money outlets to support a municipal government. The successful candidate will have a working knowledge of Website, Facebook and other digital marketing and media outlets. This highly skilled and motivated Coordinator will wear multiple hats, with special emphasis on interpersonal engagement, excellent fiscal awareness, and the management of real property along with sensitive items inventory and a familiarity with the Government Accounting (GASB) system. The Project Coordinator must be able to relate well in the community, build relationships and can partner with both state and county regulatory departments as well as civilian contractors. A track record of innovation in delivering on strategic initiatives as well as increasing collaborations, effective communications and service delivery is essential. This position is a full-time 37.5 hour a week with most of the work in an office environment.

QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum education is a bachelor’s degree. Five years of grant writing and/or digital media interaction is strongly preferred. Strong organizational along with interpersonal skills are necessary to effectively perform the duties of this position.

SALARY RANGE AND APPLICATION PROCESS: Hiring range is $52,000 – $57,000 and is commensurate with experience.
